March 22, 2024 - The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is urging parents to make sure their children are up to date with their measles vaccinations. Measles vaccination is important for all children to prevent measles infection and reduce the risk of community transmission, but it is especially important for families with children planning to travel outside of the United States.
March 15, 2024 - The Chatham County Health Department is hosting two after-school meningitis vaccine clinics for rising high school juniors in April and May. All students in Georgia who are at least 16 years of age are required to have a meningococcal booster shot when entering 11th grade.
March 14, 2024 - Health departments in the Coastal Health District will offer free, confidential STI screening events in April as part of STI Awareness Month.
